How Does Performance League Work?

Perform, Measure, Improve.

The Performance League statistical engine has analysed every Premier League match over the past three seasons (1,140 matches) to produce a number of mathematical algorithms related to successful performance.

Each match variable is weighted according to its statistical significance in determining the final league points (positions) achieved by each team across those three seasons

Following every league match, the match output (over 2,500 match events) is processed by the Performance League ‘engine’ to produce a Performance League Match Rating for both teams. This rating represents the underlying performance of each team irrespective of the result.
